Wii NiGHTS

Here is a game due to be released on the Nintendo Wii that I have been waiting for years since the original came out on the Sega Saturn.

Released around the same time as the Nintendo N64 game Mario 64, it was a poor cousin to Mario's escapades, but still managed to win my heart through fantastic graphics, brilliant music and clever gameplay.

Well here is the sequel, if it could be called that, and one that Id rather play over and above any other game right now, including Super Mario Galaxy. Ill even send the kids to bed early to play this.

So I've been playing Super Mario Galaxy and can confirm that even in-game on the title screen the only stars that shine in and out are the ones on the box cover as well.

No just the artists then, but the games designers too.

Wii is Back

No this isnt a LOL cat joke , but a celebration on the fact that I got my Nintendo Wii back. Well, not the one I sent for repair, but rather a brand new one. Nice job Nintendo.

And to celebrate I bought Super Mario Galaxy. Now the artwork is interesting as it has a subliminal message in the title. There are stars underneath the letters, and when you read the letters that are starred, it reveals a hidden message.

all will be revealed after the cut...

Wizball Remake

Im a child of the 80s, and hence enjoyed a lot of computer games in that era that existed on such machines as the ZX Spectrum and the BBC Model B. But one of the very best gaming computers was Commodore CBM 64.

Well to cut a long story short, one of the games on the C-64 was Wizball, a fantastic colour arcade shooting game with a fair bit of strategy involved as well. One of the few games I actually completed too. Well until this morning, the only way to play this gem was via a C-64 emulator. Well thanks to Dr Derek Doctors amongst others, the game now can be on your PC. Heres the link, and get ready to rock.

No spyware, no dodgy stuff.

You wont be disappointed.

Circle Tower Defense - Flash Game

Its meant to be year end for a lot of my clients, and in between waiting for downloads and print-offs to occur, I find myself mesmerised by a little game, Flash Circle Defense.

Its an arcade game, with strategy and financial control elements that all work together in a wonderfully simple package. I recommend you dont play it when you have things to do.
